Anyone riding a long fish (7'+)?
Yeah…picked up my 7’1 Squit from Burch that was laminated by Alex a couple months ago. I let Alex decide on color…he’s a Miami Hurricane fan, and he sure went to town on it! The pics don’t do it justice. Ridden just a few times so far but it’s gone well. Told Ryan to really thin out the overall foil since it’s a long version. It still has the beak nose and beveled rail of the traditionally sized Squit but they’re very subtle. Also has 101s from Marlin, my first set of keels from him, they’re perfectly foiled and feel very light in the board. Great for a board this size, rather have these than a heavier all glass set of keels. The board shined in waist to chest high 1st Point ‘Bu, going backside felt no quirkiness. Real fast and controlled in trim and still loose enough for mini cutbacks out on the shoulder. 857D5998-A3F6-4B8D-8FF1-0FF703E43E53.jpeg399FB73D-DC9F-498A-8F54-4FA02DF1B956.jpeg78603FF4-E317-4E55-8E4E-A04E9751AA32.jpeg5819981D-B58B-432E-B783-E51296309D57.jpegAE4A98A5-90D8-4348-B2C0-C4BE23CA4C51.jpegACCB788B-9299-4749-AD9C-77CF3F09101E.jpeg4223981E-6DD4-4C29-962E-C66811D986E2.jpeg88B17769-AEF9-4ECF-B5F9-CFE10D416054.jpeg20E90C4A-5D86-44A3-9002-5710392050C7.jpeg

Tell me more about your Nautilus. Did you try a longer one? What's the low/hi end on them?

Cheers
Ended up selling mine. Just didn't really fit anywhere in my quiver. It's basically a step up, but by the time I want a step up I was grabbing something else not my nautty.

And it's too step-up-eee IMO to be a small wave board, and way too long.

I was actually in Balian a few days ago and I thought a Nautty would be brilliant for that wave in particular.

Did your Desert Storm come in? Headed out to Ulu tomorrow morning?

JWF hasn't given up on his mid length world tour dreams!

Anyone know how to get in contact with him so I can ask how many hundreds of liters of volume he recommends for someone my size?

Gee... cant wait til these clog the lineup along with the CI and Pyzel.
Should've called it the "Adult Learner"
I hope they only come in fluoro yellow so we can spot them easier when they drop in on the shoulder to call them off

Yeah, I gave up and have gone full @Havoc this summer with 7' quad. Full of self loathing but I am surfing more crappy waves than on the 5'8s. I'm waiting optimistically for September for things to ease up if all kids are going back on campuses.
