Both those are worth a shot

Amt have more cant angle built in so they can be a bit loose

Do the Rasta fins have v2 foil?

Also does your MC have the full length tuck edge?

Tried roberts fronts on the fuse. Fast but squirrly and unpredictable I think. COuld be the crap waves I've surfed it on since putting the fins in.

Twin plus trailer review on a CI rocket wide, written by a thruster guy:

T1: slidey but fast. Always a little out of control. Seemed better when it was tiny
Merrick AMT: like a loose thruster. Less speed than the T1 but more of a controlled feel with more drive.

The AMT trailer fin is much taller than the T1. Retold and others - is this the key to the more controlled feel?

It's got quite a bit more overall area as a set plus a larger /talker center fin

What futures quad sets are people digging?

large Roberts set is my fav, but looking to try something else. Don’t like “pivot” fins, prefer some drive.
Anyone running Stretch quads?

NVS makes some nice fiberglass ones. I have the Mannkine large set. I think they have a template similar to the AM if you like raked fins.

I just ordered some fcs2 pc performer small quad rears to go with my large fcs2 PC thruster sides. Should i have gone with the larges? They just seemed way too big at 14” area. I’m used to futures - my quad set is usually am2 sides with the qd2 4” rears.

This will be used on a 6’6 Maurice Cole red dingo

Also the fcs2 carver large sides are similar to the futures am2?

<rant>

I'm stocked that some of these older California fin companies are still making killer fins but...

In the last couple years, between having orders lost and emails not returned... some of these companies are pearling to their knees. Ramp up your customer service! This ain't the 70's and everything's groovy.

Mind you, I'm aware that I might be dealing with older folks that aren't as quick or tech savvy, but...

I'm realizing that some these companies are truly mom and pop shop type businesses, which is pretty damn cool, but kinda lame when orders don't get sent or emails returned... at all.

</end rant>

one thread about quads , twins , tris , singles , 1+2 , and 2+1.

Got a few more sessions on the NVS peregrines now, with the rakier rear fin. They feel great when the waves are good, nice tight arcs, but I think leave a little to be desired when you need to generate the speed quickly.

Do you typically like K2.1s or WCTs in boards?
