P.R. won't be Trump's Katrina. The majority of Americans probably don't even know P.R. is part of America, and that Puerto Ricans are in fact Americans. I'l bet if you asked, most 'Muricans think Puerto Ricans are Mexicans.

How did Kauai every recover from Iniki? A direct hit from a strong Cat 4 with measured 225mph gusts, that destroyed or severely damaged many 1000's of homes of every structure on the island. Granted, only 60k on the island, they were devastated none-the-less.

They were without power for weeks. Took months, even years to rebuild much of the damaged homes and resorts. They survived and built back better than before.

At least 10 shiploads of relief supplies are either there in PR or on the way. Naval Mercy ship deployed. Military is increasing flights with help and supplies, now that the airports are cleared.

This is a huge undertaking of an isolated island more than a 1000 miles from Florida at the closest. All surrounding islands aren't even capable of feeding themselves, let alone helping supply PR's emergency needs.

But of course, it not enough to please the ever politicizing Dems. Nothing ever would.

Don't ever expect an ounce of honesty from the left. Hell, a lot of them still think Bush steered Katrina into New Oreleans using special pixie dust created by NASA.

At least 557 people and two pets in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have been "saved or assisted" by FEMA search and rescue task forces, according to an agency spokesperson.

FEMA teams are continuing to operate search and rescue missions after combing through more than 2,600 structures.

With at least 5,600 personnel deployed to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, Department of Defense announced it has conducted at least eight medical evacuations.

According to a FEMA press release sent to reporters Monday evening, the federal government has sent at least 281 generators to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands in an attempt to restore power to critical facilities until the permanent infrastructure can be repaired.

A FEMA spokesperson referred ABC News' request for information on power crews and other efforts to restore power to the island to the Department of Energy. A spokesperson at the Department of Energy did not immediately respond to ABC News.

The U.S. National Guard has deployed more than 2,500 personnel to the Caribbean to help move resources, rebuild infrastructure and provide security."
