Being married only saves you a tax bracket or two and the kid tax savings is not that much and is progressive. If you make $100k as a couple you're not getting sh!t back for the kids.
You can claim whatever you want as well per paycheck to take home more, just make sure you have deductions at the end of the year
Taxes breaks Married with Children:
- Marriage deduction (taxed against less income)
- Child deduction (taxed against less income)
- Child credit (money given back to you)
Taxes breaks Single no Kids
- Diddly Squat
