I love the board -- bought it from a Skrillex lookalike on CL for $175 in almost-new condition. Really opened my mind to the different lines a fish can draw and the ability to surf one across a wide range of conditions. Ride as my daily driver and it makes me confident I'll have fun pretty much no matter what. Got it into some OH outer bar surf here for kicks and it went surprisingly well. Really want to ride it in some true point surf.manbearpig said:How do you like that indo fish? Good groveler? 5'2" Stamps Indo Fish (ride 90% of the time waves are under head-high)
5'8" Stretch Buzzsaw (only good when it's steep and dumpy, but awesome then. always quad)
5'9" Tomo MPH Hatchet Twin (never gets ridden )
6'0" Stretch 2x4 (the bomb for ~OH outside bar or inside bar)
6'2" Island Designs? 6-channel twin fin ($75 CL special, crazy beak nose. ride when I want something weird)
6'6" Stretch "2x4" (anything around head - head.5 on outer bar, great board)
7'6" Brewer (1.5x OH, don't ride because I don't want to break it)
8'0' Buzz Gun (not pictured, the bomb)
With that said, it's definitely not a true groveller. Goes okay in the smaller waves we get here but it doesn't enable thrashing -- I usually just stand and cruise.
5'2" Super Buzz -- didn't include because I sold it. I kinda drank the kool-aid on the super buzz thing and it was a sick board, but not for conditions up here. Too much paddling, flat faces, and generally poopy waves. If i surfed cleaner waves with push all the time (a la reefs) I would have one in the quiver for sure. Many frustrating sessions on that thing but a couple turns I did in the right conditions I still remember.paunch23 said:whats the first yellow stretch?
