Ok, may try to convince the wife but this has everything I'm looking for but it's fucking expensive for a drip coffee maker.

Whoa. Guess you'll be ditching your trusty O'neills for a custom Yamamoto 3/2 next! LOL
Go for it. Totally worth it to have good coffee every day. Cost per cup is peanuts.
Way too much $.

I'm willing to withhold judgement until after I see the unboxing videoWay too much $.
ya wud be a wknd thing 4 me. wife got me a coffee subscription and they rec chemex. whole setup with goosenecked kettle is $100yeah they're pretty fvcking amazing. but I don't always have time for that bvllshit
Actually, I was surprised. I did a taste test the other day with 2 different pour overs with my son, one was the big chemex. The chemex was better than what I poured on the other melitta pour over I did. It's really good. But, it is kind of a pain, and the filters are a bit expensive. So 99% of the time, I do the melitta. ... and then there's my espresso machine.so are those chemex pourovers any good? hario looks like a pita. chemex prly too
Fookin hell. Can only imagine what it must be like going furniture or mattress shopping with you and your lady. I think I'd rather scrub the bathroom tile grout with a toothbrush.I'll have to check these out
