My cuisinart is shitting the bed. I've never been fully happy with pretty much any that I've owned.

Needs:

Good hot temp for good coffee
Easy to use. why does it seem like every coffee maker is nearly impossible to fill with water without spilling?
Stainless carafe so it's still hot when I come back from surfing

I grind my beans and I don't care for other coffee maker types as I pretty much have everything else. For day to day stuff my wife and I prefer the drip.

I expect nothing but stellar recommendations from the erBB trust.

^^^The Mr. Coffee is exactly what I have. No complaints. Detachable water reservoir is easy to fill. SS pot keeps the coffee hot for a while. Downside, ours is only 10 cups, maybe they have a 12-cup version.

+3 on that exact same Mr Coffee. Set the timer and wake up to the smell of fresh brew. It's a thermos w/o a heater, so you can take it with you.
