At this point Pipe might not even break again until November. It's wild how much sand has gotten pushed up there by trade swell.
That should be *exciting* for them. Waves will be *tricky* and *challenging* for sure.
Was there a waterpolo game going on that day or something?
It's a bodysurfing contest, although they may give some of time to let bodyboarders run a few heats. I'm not sure when was the last time bodyboarders got their own permit for Pipe.
Jesus christ the wsl now has some sort of shaper competition in addition to the actual events. How about the put some resources into longer wait times, better locations, fewer surfers...their current strategy seems like rearranging deck chairs.
