I think its fairly clear that Lizzy is desperate and that was a dishonest gotcha to get Bernie. Either she is outright lying or she is taking something way out of context. I find Bernie to be more believable in this instance.
To be fair, taking something out of context isn't the same thing as lying.

Trump lies so much it must now be considered by his followers a virtue, or at least an acceptable option. “I lied.” “Good job son, whatever benefits you, do it.”

I think the right is going to pay for their ends-justify-the-means attitude; but yeah, that apparently is the attitude.

Even if Trump hangs on and wins the 2020 as well as retaining the Senate, it's unlikely (IMO) that he'll hold the Senate at the 2022 midterms. The electorate usually tires of 2-term presidents by the 2nd midterms. If that happens to Trump then he very well might get removed from office by a Democrat majority in the Senate.

That's why I'm still rooting for Trump to take the 2020, take office and retire 30 days later, citing his desire to go back to the hookers and blow. That would be awesome.

I think we deserve the govt we vote for, and that America is all about we-the-people exercising our own self-determination. IDGAF what the elites might think is best for us because I assume they're acting in their own self-interests just the same as everyone else.

So yeah, if America votes for the God Emperor Troll again then that's the right way to go. If America votes for the "Democratic" Socialist then that's the right way to go. Regardless what I think, the electorate will not allow either party to run the table for long, so I fully expect Trump's successor to be a backlash to Trump. Same as always.

In other words, needs more cowbell.
Thanks for explaining the process, which is common knowledge to 3 year olds.

I was asking if you think that it's good for America to be ruled by a bumbling Twitter troll?

You don't seem to have a problem with your country circling the drain, just because liberal tears.

So much for patriotism.

I apparently haven't dug deep enough because you're still not getting it.

The point is that if this is where we want to go then that is where we should go. Civil society is more about shared values than about ideological perfection. Japan isn't America, and yet they have a functional and civil society due to sharing those common values.

That's why its not up to me or to you or to any other individual or group to decide what circumstances would warrant overriding the will of the people.

So yeah, Trump as POTUS was apparently the right thing to do, just as was the case with Obama before him. No matter which side wins an election the other half of everyone is going to be unhappy with the outcome. Fortunately, it never lasts more than a few years after which we get tired of THIS direction and flop in to go in THAT direction.
