International?

who knows, thats up to the countries involved.

Our Pacific neighbours want to open up by then, mostly Fiji, which is great.
Late season Cloudbreak hit could be on.

State borders? Almost certainly.

Although our states based system is far more independent than the USA.
There may be one or two hold-outs.
Not for long though.
International, yes. Do you think they will open borders for vaccinated citizens from countries that reciprocate?

Australia is a system of federated states, bigger than countries in Europe.

Stopping the flow of people from cities, into states with no Covid, has been incredibly successful.

Thats been the whole point of the exercise and why it is so electorally popular.

Each state in Aus, is bigger than any country in Scandinavia.

It's more accurate to look at NSW, as equivalent to Norway/Denmark etc etc.

WA is like a whole separate country.

Iffalot.

QLD is about the size of Texas.

Texas has what, 20'000 cases a day at the moment. Close enough.

You know how many QLD has?

7.

Seven.

In total.

Thats why QLD has a border shut with NSW.

And look how much you lost

This thing is never going away, thinking you’re winning because there’s only 7 positive tests while you’re kicking your citizens up is borderline insanity

If in 12 months it's still locked down or covid passports then I'll be 100% in agreement.

If we open up like Norway/Denmark as they promise and we have fukall loss of life or livelihood then it will all look like an extremely well managed crisis.

But yeah for most people in QLD, 7 cases is massively winning.

No Covid, life goes on as normal.

No one sick or dying from it.

I don't quite see the insanity of that, and most of the voters don't either.

But we'll see.

OK, adjust for population size.

I think you'll find the argument still stands up.

In fact I know it does, especially if you extrapolate it out to the entire USA.

Point being: there is fukall Covid in some Aus states and that is why they want borders closed.

1% of a big number is a big number........plus ending up in hospital.

1% of 25 million is 250000.

Covid deaths in Oz= 1256
Covid deaths in USA 692000

Y'see how the maths shakes out?
And why people here choose a different path to USA?

anyhow, I'm just providing a different point of view to the fear/outrage porn I'm seeing published about Aus

I actually couldn't give a flying fcuk at a rolling donut about changing anyones mind.

Wow

You try and tell us that everything is ok and we’re over blowing things yet you can’t even travel around your own country
That's it, argue with somebody who actually lives there while you get your information from fucking muppets like Dave Rubin and incel subreddits.

You know better, you are exceptional and unique.
Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

Sooooo, why are you getting vaccinated?
I will choose a single shot to have the freedumb to travel internationally idiot. Like I said there is no fear of the covid boogeyman on my end, not scared of a one dose jab either. Eventually I'll get around to it, no rush. Will be here domestically in the US for the next few months.

AUS/NZ have the benefit of being geographically isolated from the rest of the world. the majority of your populace is centered around the major cities, with vast areas sparsely inhabited. Melbourne in lockdown for 4+ months last year and again this year, Syndey this year. Was it really worth it to save a few lil ol' ladies in an aged folks home? Been unable to travel internationally unless you're in the Fanning class? 14 day hotel quarantines :roflmao:
juice ain't worth the squeeze no matter which way you look at it
