This is a strong claim since you've already swung well past them on restrictions. Denmark got to a vax rate of 70% and declared Just hte Flu Now. You're triangle-headed Karens are calling for 90% vax rates and boosters.

How are you defining "normal" as of Dec 1 - the way things were before COVID/Year Zero, or some other definition? I want to know what we're betting on.
I hope you are ready to cash me out that Hundred on Dec 2.

Do you need an instalment plan or are you good for the entire payment in one hit?

I don't want to leave you short for Christmas.:shameonyou::cheers:

I can't believe the government is still allowing you to use the internet.

Apart from whatever private businesses like airlines dictate, yeah.

And no difference between vaccinated and non-vaccinated, like Denmark.

So you're scrapping the vax passports by December like Denmark unless private businesses want it under no government coercion? Denmark also declared the virus endemic and ended all restrictions. That's how I understand "Denmark by December."

I'm putting my $100 towards a new gun, if that's OK with you.

That's pretty much where we are right now, for the vast majority of the country.

Businesses have to have a sign up, thats it.

Thats considered "reasonable measures", until Dec 1 when it's a free for all.

Airlines will do what they want.

I doubt Australia will make a pronouncement like Denmark, because we are a system of federated states.

By "vast majority of the country" you mean, "mostly-empty rural landmass" not "cities." Melbourne is in its 234th day of lockdown. I'm not sure about the other cities, but I'm talking about the places people live, not where you live in the sticks.

Sounds good.

Melbourne ain't the whole of Aus.

It's the only place left in lockdown, as of Mon.

So, yes, I mean vast majority of the country.

btw, if you look at media coverage of Aus pandemic response- not the hyper-ventilating outrage porn but the normie sites you might find this little gem hidden somewhere:

"The state has not yet imposed a system to check vaccination status, leaving it up to individual businesses."

In case you were wondering that that means, I took a photo for you.

So big bad totalitarian Australia's vaccine passport is a photocopied sheet of paper stuck to the front door and the kicker: businesses don't even need to ask to see your vaccine paperwork.

And why would they bother, when all this nonsense ends Dec 1 anyway?

I went to this site based on the poster on the left:

Looks to me like the poster on the right is a way to keep customers from snitching on the business to regulatory agencies. What are regulatory penalties for the business for refusing to comply with the vaccine certificate? Maybe you, the customer, are not subject to these restrictions but it sure seems like the businesses are expected to enforce them and there are penalties if your workers contract the virus.

Here's what they're saying:

From the previous page, it seems like they're hedging their bets on Dec 1, like they're making it contingent on an 80% vaccination rate. "Restrictions are expected to ease...." seems like a hedge.

We'll see if this is gone in 6 weeks, like Denmark.

@freeride76 Looking back through this thread, it appears you're comparing NSW to Denmark. Melbourne is in Victoria so it's not part of our bet. Sydney is part of NSW, so it's included. As far as I'm concerned, you win if the vax passports are scrapped or even kept by private businesses as long as they are UNDER NO GOVERNMENT COMPULSION by Dec 1. Do you agree?
