OC and LBI are the only two boardwalks in NJ where you can't even get a decent slice of pizza.
Mack and Manco's (Sorry.....Manco and Manco's now, since the one owner went to jail for mafioso sh!t).....has to be the most overrated thing on that entire boardwalk. It's like a piece of pita bread with ketchup and cheddar cheese barely melted on top.
Seriously, I went there and bought a slice last summer and the seagulls wouldn't even try to steal it from me.

I also recommend the Dungeness Crab as well as the Mexican you already noted. With the exception of Baja-style fish tacos; hard pass no thanks that sh!t is straight ass.
Next time in in LA for any length of time I need to hit something Asian I wouldn't get in Florida. We have some Thai and Indian and I like the pho place in Winter but there has to be like some Korean or some sh!t I don't really get in my neighborhood that's all kinds of bomb.

But back to Ocean Shitty boardwalk. Imagine trying to enjoy a nice walk with your family but there's a carnival barker every 15 feet and a fvckin Mummer Parade every 5 minutes. Who could live like that?

I mean if you don't like shellfish like lobster, stone crab claws, etc. then Dungeness would likewise be a discard, and I'd say the same about halibut; if you don't like swordfish or cobia, don't bother.
Ocean City and Seaside Heights are what they are. I know lots of people from Georgia and Florida think Jax Beach is the white trash capital of the universe and they claim St. Augustine like someone dropped Vienna or Florence onto the beach.
I thought Casino Pier was the complete boss sh!t when I was 7. I couldn't understand how my parents weren't into it. That place had sugary drinks and an arcade with Pole Position (the mark of every good establishment circa 1980s Jersey Shore in my opinion was the existence of Pole Position arcade or lack thereof).

Ridiculously good. Lao sausage, crispy fried rice, larb, Lao papaya salad, pad se ew, trout, catfish dishes, all of it better than anything you have ever had before. Knock it all back with a couple Lao Dark beers.
Be very wary of how high the spice you want. A 3 here is a generic Thai chain 10. They will murder your soul (not to mention your rectum) if you cockily order a 10.
