They are different boards for sure. As you can see on this thread everyone has an opinion and all are good. Really personal preference and would hit up the Shaper of good ones and go off what they say.
interested to see what the take is when one of you glider guys gets your hand a sprint/prone paddleboard. whatever you want that glider to do....kneeriding a sprintboard or stockboard is straight mindblowing.

Honestly, you should call Bob Mitsven, he does a lot of them and is such a nice guy he would be happy to talk about getting you the right size/ style glider. I emailed him about how short I could go on the mini glider and he called me within 45 sec and talked for 10 min about it. I have 5 of his boards now, all fantastic. He's a true craftsman.

Absolute trash at setting up links but this is Pat Schmidt ripping around on a Mencel 11'3 Glider. I ride one of these frequently when the waves are small. The speed is unreal and I enjoy it but many who ride it find it unwieldy. The dead leg if you get whacked is no joke.

Saw a guy with a skip Frye gilder almost take out the entire lineup where I was surfing with sublime last week
the glass schedule on my mitsven is "tough as fvck"
lost it into the rocks one day and almost cried. very minimal damage, I was stocked.
