I have used the Modom two piece and gorilla grip two piece flat pads....liked the Modom a little better, decent grip, but size is perfect and its held up well
How would you compare the hardness of the modom too?

CI makes a no logo pad?
Yeah, weird but cool. They make a flat and an arch version in either all black or butt ugly colors, your choice.

Half of my boards have Pro Light flat pads and the other half are Creatures with an arch.

I think I actually prefer the creatures but honestly both are fine.

I feel odd not having a stronger opinion on this subject.

Was wondering about the Pro Light and the basic one piece Creatures with the small teardrop arch.

Ended up ordering a DaKine Gaff (flat two piece) because I like the color.

Rainbow?

What's wrong with that?

Similar to Dakine pads I want to say, haven't had any others in a while so tough to say. I like the Modom ones, plain black, pretty durable. I'm curious about those octopus is real corduroy pads cause they have a flat two piece. Has anyone tried those? I've got a new stamps coming but don't know if those corduroy ones really work.

Stuck a ...Lost two piece flat pad on my new stick. I like it. Seems kind of thin though? We'll see.

Looking to get more speed out of this one due to the glue schedule.

Wow. I forgot how awesome Ministry was (music in one of their vids - thieves and liars).

Anyone used their corduroy pads? Any long term tests of any of their pads in general?

well the search is done.

Lost V3 pad.

.25 cubic literinos, 4/2/7 glue schedule, no stringer, and the tail kick has perfectly engineered rocker.

But seriously, this pad is good.

Wanna know what annoys me? My friend that surfs really well (did ok on the WQS for a bit) puts absolutely no thought into his traction pads. I've been at the shop with him and he grabs the first one in his line of sight. No checking if it even has a kick, no thought about the color, I'm looking at his choice like I wouldn't put that thing on my daughters board and yet it makes no difference he rips. Mean while I'm pondering my pad selection for an hour...fvck him!

I know what you're saying. Friends of ours are friends with a local x pro and when I first met him for a fam beach day he pulls out this vanguard with a kook wax job and generic plastic futures on it. He then Slaters the windy crappy beachbreak conditions that were on hand.

Not all black but relatively inoffensive and cheap:

Bump. I’m on the flat fever.

Love the Dakine hobgood but they don’t make it anymore.

Recs for an all black pad with no arch?
I had a good run with those. I found one on some random website for my last board but fear the hobgobblin pad days are over.

All black, no logos, no arch, beveled corners, $25

I'm all about flat traction, my favorite pads:
- FCS Kolohe (this has to be the thinnest pad out, easy to shuffle your fee around)
- FCS T-2 (for hybrid shapes)
- Channel Islands Dane Reynolds
- Famous Filmore
