like every industry at this late hour, the surf industry owes its existence to consumption.
so i know its impossible on a human level to just stop but i think andreinis take is beautifully appropriate for the times.
its a big old timeout, we are not stressing. you all got plenty of boards to ride on the limited number of waves on tap. so be happy and thankful for what youve been given and lets see how everybody is feeling a year from now because surfing was never supposed to be about rampant consumption now was it
should say thats my take on it. i know marc a little bit and if questioned on it he would probably give a little grin and say something like, we are a small crew and we can only make 5 or so boards a week. with all the back log we have right now, its just not fair to everyone who wants a board to make them get in line and wait so long.
