So I have logged about 15 hours surfing on the bobby qua. Wave range between waist high to 1.5x OH. Here's a brief review:

Fins: carver fronts, performer rears.

Wave ranges
  1. Waist high grovelling: meh, but not terrible.
  2. chest to head high: sweet spot
  3. Head to 1.5x OH: copes fine, but it's when I prefer a HPSB anyway.

The board holds surprisingly well for a small board. It definitely wants to be surfed aggressively and top to bottom which I like. Being a dedicated quad, it obviously isn't as pivoty as a thruster but it's nice to have a different feeling sometimes.

Loves being surfed on the backhand which was surprising to me. Definitely keeping it for a while.

Overall, I give it 7 tennis tours out of 10.

These new AM 5 fin sets dropped and the quad rears look awfully familiar

Looks like a Stretch template to me.

Griff not big on beaky fins. Neither am I, generally.

kind of odd to just change the rears. i actually like the am2 techflex rears as is. they are pretty similar to other sets though so no worries.

kinda happy there is an AM medium 5fin set.

was wondering what all the smaller bbq folks were using…
