I second Appetite. I remember when that came out. Pretty close to flawless. Impressove considering so many albums had one or two good songs and then a lot of filler.

Led Zeppelin I, IV, and Houses of the Holy.
Dark Side
Digable Planets - Blowout Comb
Nas - Illmatic
Maiden - Number of the Beast (Invaders was kinda skip-worthy though)
Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (probably sacrilege but this is one of my favorite albums of theirs)
Black Sabbath - Sabotage
Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking (minus Jane Says, hate that song)
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Megadeth - Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
GZA - Liquid Swords

That's good for starters... :jam_on:

The Smashing Pumpkins.
I love the Smashing Pumpkins, probably my favorite band of all time, but the only albums I can name without skippable songs are Gish and Pisces Iscariot, and Pisces isn't even a *real* album
I think Siamese Dream is a strong contender for best album of the 90s but I don’t really see how you could make a claim that the Pumpkins had 3 perfect albums

By comparison, Beatles: Hard Days Night, Rubber Soul, Revolver, White Album, Abbey Road, not a single bad track

I think it’s super rare for a band to pull this off

Most bands have one primary songwriter who’s good for a couple of albums max before losing it

There’s a lot of very huge bands that had a single amazing album only

I’d put GNR in that category

Nirvana too

I fully agree that Siamese Dream is one of the greatest "start to finish" rock albums. the songs themselves, the flow between them, everything. But yeah, i don't think other Smashing Pumpkins albums can quite live up that rigorous standard
