Anyone know? Looks cruisy and super fun. February might be my new favorite surfer.

Apologies as I have no clue how to embed insta posts.

Russ Short and looks super fun but I was thinking about getting step up/semi gun version of RS. I am not a fan of rail grab turns :drowning:

I have one at similar dims. This and the MLV are my favourite bonzers. The RS is an epic alrounder.

Been on my 6'6 (x 19 3/4 x 2 3/4) almost exclusively the last month. Knee high to 2xOH. Pretty much got it wired at my local now. Love it.

Best hold of any board I have, if you've got your feet in the right spot. You can crank very very hard cutties.

In fatter waves, they require you to find the power pockets of the waves; you can't pump them like a groveler. In more powerful waves you can really go to town.

I like mine best in OH reef surf, and tiny clean runners.

Surfing J-bay with Mikey Feb some years back was one of the best things I've ever witnessed in person. Effortless and fluid and unique. Watching him on tour the next year it was like he was a different surfer, just kinda stiff and seemingly out of sync much of the time with only the occasional glimpse of the form I'd witnessed.

Rad to see him on different boards and surfing so well in these recent clips, he's great to watch.

The stringers are PVC/plastic

The material is more flexible than wood. One PVC stringer was too flexible. So I tried three. Still more flexible than a single wood but enough pop to feel more alive. Maybe next time I'll try a HD foam PVC combo. This kind of stuff interests me so it's part of keeping me engaged.

Mine is 6'2. Such an excellent board - exactly as Maz described, works in many conditions. I rode it all last summer, which was by no means good waves most of the time. I've been out of the water three months and have many good boards on the racks, but this will be the one i will go to first.
