Quotas have been illegal for decades and an allegation in a civil lawsuit isn't proof to the contrary. Race/gender have repeatedly been held to be ok as a factor when considering an applicant, but the law is quite clear that they can't be the sole factor.GDaddy said:

As an aside, I should say that I don't think today's affirmative action in college admissions is helpful to minority students. In fact, it delegitimizes their achievements and segregates them from the larger student population.
