Many moons ago we were driving north in the rain on a surf mission. Somewhere past the sand dune south of Sycamore Canyon/Pt. Mugu area we see a big landslide like that. My recollection was at least one boulder the size of a car rolling across the highway. My buddy who was driving slams on the brakes and puts it in reverse. As we start backing up we see a big rig behind us start jack knifing. "STOP! Go forward!" Luckily nothing happened and the truck straightened out. I don't remember if we turned around or found a way through. We were young, dumb and full of come and I imagine we probably found a path through the debris to continue on...Area called Four-Lane just below Shaver Lake, on the way to China Peak.
