I thought quality if not the sheer level of effort of your work was
admirable

And then I found out, that in spite of all his bluster, GhettoRat (Chuck Burns) was just a ghostshaper, that almost nobody cared about.

There's a joke in here somewhere about fleshlights/cheesesteaks being brought to the beach in shoeboxes.

But yeah, many times SoCal has been flat while East Coast has been firing. Even more demoralizing when Gulf Coast is firing more that SoCal. Hoping for some waves on my birthday this Sunday but looks like it will be savaged by south winds. At least it will be uncrowded.

Better to grow up across from Venice than above SunSlop (which I have surfed exactly twice) or down the way from Tower 15 jetty. Latter used to get good quite a bit, got my first legit standup barrel there, but have never seen it break well in recent years. Some mysto jetties between there and Tower 8. Speaking of Tower 8, funny how you don't think anything as a kid about exploring deep into that drainage tunnel. Not doing that these days...

Bu fun to do a Zeros reunion one of these days although I can't even begin to imagine how much of a shitshow it is now.
