I don't recall Duffy going on a tirade about George Floyd probably deserving it by virtue of his profession or some other criteria the same way that Eversurfer did. Plus there are people who actually knew the deceased who were posting and probably even more who don't post here.

As for Doug, he will always be Doug and mostly trolls to get a rise out of people like you. Seems to work.
I went back and re read every one of my posts on that thread. I never once said he deserved it.

I even said I was painting with an extremely broad brush, and made it clear I was talking about the profession, not this officer.

And yes, I do want my message to be heard by the friends and family of the police.

The Police will never change if I say they need to change. But they might change if their own tribe tells them to change.

cops are often times fvcked up people. Kid I went to high school with went on to be a cop. Total roid rager. Doubled down on the roids once he joined the force. Ended up beating his GF and being served with a restraining order. Violated said restraining order by pulling her off a treadmill at the gym at gun point with his service weapon. He held her captive in a garage and had to be talked off a ledge. He was later suspended for his actions. While suspended he decided to drive his car into a stone wall at the end of a highway connector at 120mph. They identified him with his teeth.

In October 2002, 35-year-old John R. Guthy of Trumbull crashed his Toyota pickup truck into the wall and suffered serious injuries.

A week later Fairfield Police Officer Kirk Holzapfel, 26, drove his 1998 Lexus ES300 into the wall, which the medical examiner said was a suicide.

Holzapfel had been arrested by his department a month earlier in an alleged domestic incident involving his girlfriend, resulting in him being charged with second-degree kidnapping with a firearm and assault.”

This is your contribution to a thread about criminal thug cops?

My turn...

When I was in grade school I played little league with a kid named Stephen. He was a year older than me and I thought he was pretty cool at the time. His father was the Chief of police at the time. As an 8yr old I didn't know cops sucked quite yet and always thought it was cool that his dad carried a gun at our games. And he was always nice to me. Fast forward to a couple years later. Stephen's dad is now the mayor of my home town and Stephen followed in the footsteps of his father and became a cop in a neighboring town. Stephen having the family name got moved up quick and he was now the head of the Narcotics division. In 2019 Stephen got arrested for signing drug evidence out of lock-up for his personal use. So that shitbag was sending people to prison on drug charges and taking the drugs for himself. But here's the kicker. He pled guilty and never served a day in jail despite stealing hundreds of folds of heroin, more than 800 oxycontin pills and an undisclosed amount of cocaine from the evidence locker. He went on to sue the police dept and walk away with a nearly $100k settlement because they didn't do enough to help him with his addiction.

No I didn't.

Millions in the streets, and the cops don't listen.

Crimes committed daily under the color of authority, and the cops don't listen.

We watched a man get strangled to death, by a cop, and his partners did nothing, cities burned, and the cops didn't listen.

In fact, the cops, by and large have doubled down on their illegal behavior.

So I posted about bad cops on a message board, on a thread about a cop who was killed.

Have you ever heard the expression, "pull the log out of your own eye before you try to find the speck in another's eye"?

Cops are literally murdering people in the streets, under color of authority, and you want to talk to me about manners?

Skully, please.

I want to hear you say that every cop who arrests someone falsely, be charged with kidnapping.

I want to hear you say that every cop who witnesses an assault by another cop, be charged equally, if he doesn't arrest his fellow officer.

Big picture dude, big picture

stories like this could fill volumes. local cops from several towns near where I live got busted in a massive drug ring in the early 90s. the brother of one of the cops used to hassle me all the time for literally no reason.

Back in about 1982/83 When I was 15 my buddy who was a year older just got his license, we picked up a couple chicks & a six pack & went to a local park. A 1/2 hour later the f'n cops showed up.
While they stood there & watched they made us pour out the rest of our beer ....& made us leave...

So what are you proposals for solving the issues you see with the various police departments around the country?
When a team sucks, you fire the coaches. You fire any player who bucks his assignment. Then you put civilian authority over all of it. Shame the police unions and politicians from any contributions. All the old supervisors who buck reform are gone.

Mandatory body cams, recording to the cloud. If the camera isn't working, neither is the cop. No more, "oopsie, I forgot to turn it on."

Just like drunk driving, if you refuse a test, you are presumed guilty. If you harass a citizen recording you, you are presumed guilty.

And especially, you end qualified immunity. Every cop gets a raise in pay, but he has to buy his own liability insurance. Let the marketplace remove expensive cops who lose lawsuits. And a national database, where if a cop gets fired for cause, he never works in law enforcement again.

Thanks for asking

Hey!
U guys remember the off duty cop who shot an autistc kid and his mom and dad at Costco? Killed the kid? Because the kid pushed him? No charges were filed?

The civilian review board said the shooting was out of policy..

Everybody in law enforcement circled the wagons, to protect their own. Not gonna learn.
dude fired 10 shots at the autistic man and his parents, shooting them in the back in the middle of a costco. Total psycho, should be in jail for murder

Maybe not doing those things that people are protesting about?

I know, it's really out there.
maybe give cops some social work and psychology training.

maybe stop turning every police dept into a little army.

maybe do a thorough psych evaluation of everyone who wants to become a cop.

maybe stop hiring so many people who get into that line of work for the wrong reasons.

I wish you retards had a better understand of how the nervous system worked.

There would be much less confusion.

Am I implying I'm better than you because I know?

No, I'm explicitly state it.

UR DUM AND I:M SMARD!

The nervous system makes decisions about safety.

The cognitive system is there for the ride in the back seat hiding.

Giving the nature of the job I don't think these over reactions can be eliminated.

Maybe someone needs to invent a stun gun like on Star Trek. Not a taser. An actual stun gun.

I'm just spitballing here.

Was talking to an old high school friend last night about the kids we grew up who went on to be cops. There are five that I know of. Already told the stories of the two that went awry. The mayors son who stole the drugs from evidence locker and the other one who kidnapped his ex-gf at gun point and went on to kill himself before he faced trial. The other three I haven’t heard anything bad about so they deserve the benefit of the doubt. I know it’s a small sample size but when 2 of 5 (40%) people you know who went on to be cops ended up being legit criminals you have to ask yourself if it’s just a coincidence.

Better yet, outsource those tasks to people who are not wearing guns and actually know wtf they are doing.

Train cops in deescalation and stop roughing up citizens for every small time offense.

He said mean words to me! -> Handcuffs -> He resisted arrest! -> Knee on neck -> Jail or Death

That's what defunding the police means. But no.
