I once dated a girl from florida.
Broke up with her unsuccessfully many times.
More than a few suicide threats and so many wasted hours on the phone.
She got pretty stalker on me. Not dangerous, but calling constantly.
She also would tell me that she was going to show the sex tape we made to the new guys who wanted her. Told her I didn't care. She ended up giving it to a guy and he was so upset he smashed the tape with a hammer on her front porch! :roflmao:

I finally managed to break up with her and was dating someone else.
She calls me, drunk and about to hang herself.
We talked for awhile while I quietly called Tampa 911.
Firemen got to her house, broke a couple doors down with axes.
Found her in her room. She knew one of them and chatted them up, convincing them that it was a false alarm (she had plenty of time to take the noose down while they were chopping through the front door.).

Then she and her mom got mad at me for making a call that wrecked their doors :foreheadslap:

Sometimes life is just lose/lose.

Also, my GF at the time was pretty upset that I had to give so much of my time and energy to the ex. Understandable.

I have extensive experience with BPD/NPD parent

it took me a long time to learn how to manage effectively

bummed for dudes dealing with BPD/NPD partners...you're not fighting a rational adversary

update: took her stuff to her apartment office
Guy called her and she answered hmmm
Sent her best friend and her a group message , I was gentle but let her know please do not contact me and lean on your friends. wanted a third party to see it.

sidenote - bet her friend hates me!

Blocked her number and hope to have a TRO shortly.

do you have anywhere you can go to stay and be with your people for a while?

have you considered taking paid family leave or similar from work?

often these types don't have real friends so there is not always someone there willing
or able to take up the slack for you which makes it more likely that you'll be drawn back
in. you may find it easier to hold the line if you have a support group backing you up that
understand the nature of your predicament.

be well, sir.

Taking this afternoon and tomorrow off. My best friend is going to hang with me all day tomorrow.

do you have someone to keep an eye on your joint while you're out?
Good question. (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

Get an Arlo if you don’t have one - $100 but could pay dividends if something happens and you need evidence.

I think there’s a good chance they’ll deny your request for TRO.

As others have said, cut off all contact. If you encounter her in some way let her know that you have no hard feelings but you are not interested in engaging with her. No matter what. If she comes on your property let her know she needs to leave and that she is not allowed back. If she resists leaving call the police and carry through with dispatch even if she eventually leaves your property you’ll have documentation there was an issue.

This should help you if you have to file for a TRO.

Silence from you and don't look back. Forward, only. It might be hard, but do not look back.
