I’ll admit there is a local at my local who does the “1 boar for all” mindset and rides one properly sized. He was riding it in the OH+ run we had and while not turning much, was doing fine.

for the most part tho, all the go fish that turned into seasides are now MIA. I can only guess they moved on to the CI mid or seaside beyond. I still see some seaside beyonds here and there and have also seen some of robs newest gimmic thruster.

I see that there is a bit of a marketing push as they have released it in a different tech. Helium?

Show up at 5 AM to get the best spot in the lot, drink bottomless cups of coffee, chew the fat while watching flawless surf and never get wet.

I see a few people riding them in these parts and they seem to like them? I have never owned a FireWire but did ride a friends quite a few years ago. It was a gunny rounded pin shape, one of Nevs I think. Went well in lined up hollow reef break with only three of us out. It was oversized but very fast.

one of the younger guys who works for my friend got a Seaside this winter. seemed to work alright for him as a beginner/intermediate.

he buckled it on a duckdive like a week ago. according to my friend it wasn't even a big day, like head high. seems about right for a FW.
