Noel is an amazing surfer but the boards in the video often, though not always, looked squirrelly on the bigger sets. Maybe undervolumed?

The more I think about this the stupider it gets.
He "compressed" all the scores out of 10, to be 6 and above for 5 boards on test. So, instead of just rating the boards relative to one another, he felt pressure into giving each board a "good rating" for each of the 10 criteria.
I'd love to think he started doing his calculations and then realised boards came out with the same score and he went "fuck, now what". Then proceeded to YOLO some decimals in there... not with the intent to to give it hundredth placing, but to add 4 sub categories for a 6 or 7 etc.
So with the "quarters" for 6 and above, giving him 16 scores to deal with

That’s not what my rewinds look like. But I’m pretty sure it’s the angle of the stupid cam
I like my poly, but they did something different than usual for the stock RNF96's. I think it's one layer of 6oz on the deck with a 4oz butterfly patch on the tail, one layer of 4 on the bottom with a 4oz butterfly patch on the fins. Also the stringer is different than what they usually do.

ive ridden a poly and a light speed and much preferred the poly. Light speed felt like a ping pong ball, didn’t have much drive or forward momentum for me. Like racer said, the stock polys are built differently which makes them feel a bit more lively
