Same, I totally bought into the marketing hype. Absolute turd of a leash, thing was always tripping me up, getting wrapped around toes etc. CI hex leash was another dud.
I have a few. I can’t tell any difference between those and regular leashes.i liked my CI Hex Leashes

I assumed everyone used the thinner comp as their DD leash (at least in SoCal, below OH). I’ve never had an issue. Rarely feel like I need a standard one.

Got me thinking;
The yellow one is 12 years old and came with the board. Couldn't figure out how to untie it, looks good for another 5.
The white one... obviously I cared more about getting on the water, and as it's a foil board, I just don't give a sh@t.
I wouldn't do this to my good wave boards....
Bogged a turn on one of the better waves I wrestled from the frothing pack last night. Later noticed my leash string was beginning to fray. Had to be why!
Got a used board, the leash string is too short. However it's very stuck in the center fin box and I can't take it out. Any ideas?
