Yes. Last time there was a serious debt limit potential snafu I went with a Swiss Franc ETF. Not sure what an easy, convenient angle is for this one though.Any trying to play the debt limit discussion or power problems in China?
fetch is on my todo list....Well by all means challah At ya boy if and when you DO come up with an easy play for this one
hows my fetch.ai treating y’al? I made this months gas electric cable phones and grocery bills while it’s been jumping up and down between .69 and about a buck. And it’s all house money as I already made back my initial investment when it doubled overnight a little while back. It’s taking a lot of self control to not throw real money into that casino. It’s fun to see tangible results playing small, and it wouldn’t hurt if it went to zero tomorrow. but it would become unfun in a hurry if I lost like 5 figures or worse
no but China is my contrarian play, atm....got in and out of Tencent with a pretty good profit a while back but Baidu and Alibaba have not paid off for me yet. they are wildly undervalued, imho, but the politics at home will have to play out for a while. it's ok, i can waitAny trying to play the debt limit discussion or power problems in China?
they are literally the Amazon of Asia and while they already have a market cap of $500 billion, they have barely scratched the surface of the potential market. i'm betting that the CCCP/Chinese gov is gonna fvck with them and Baidu and a bunch of others like them for a while, remind them of who's boss etc....but long term, they will not want to kill the geese that are laying golden eggs. we shall see.i just bought a few BABA this morning. i agree, there is a lot of long term upside potential there
100%. due to the CCP's meddling, it's like getting a chance to buy Amazon in the early ought'sthey are literally the Amazon of Asia and while they already have a market cap of $500 billion, they have barely scratched the surface of the potential market. i'm betting that the CCCP/Chinese gov is gonna fvvk with them and Baidu and a bunch of others like them for a while, remind them of who's boss etc....but long term, they will not want to kill the geese that are laying golden eggs. we shall see.
The only currency ETFs I see doing much upside are Yen/AUD ultrashorts. I haven't done any homework to see if the Swiss Franc has been pegged to the Euro - they were doing this before when parasites like me were using their currency as a safe haven, driving it up and making watches and chocolates too expensive on the export market.Any trying to play the debt limit discussion or power problems in China?

I have not. I heard it's turbo expensive, scenic, and some dank snowboarding on offer depending on the zone/season.SB, have you been to Switzerlandia?
Contemplating a brief layover in Geneva next summer on the way back from Sardinia. Dublin is another option, which seems more my style . . . .SB, have you been to Switzerlandia?

I am set in my trappist ale ways, but I don't think I've had a beer since before Covid. Our Swiss friends love visiting the USA.
They bring empty suitcase to fill up with things like electric tooth brush, vitamin pills, sneakers, skin care lotion, etc.
"It is so much cheaper here."
Urs did lots of coding in Silicon Valley and is fond of our unique IPA
"Took getting used to, it was so strong and wild tasting, but now Swiss and German beers are boring to me. My friend think I am crazy."
yep, so many people are passive investors. When the market is volatile it makes active investing more attractive to minimize risks and exposure (for a fee hehe)Volatility is their bread and butter. Nobody in the financial world likes stability.
