I went to Magog on Sunday. Lovely little resort town out in the Eastern Townships. Montreal weekend retreat. Mount Orford national park, some ski hills, a lake with some surprisingly large power yachts and lots of sailboats.

what I’d really love to see is for the Palestinians to form some kind of legit governing body that’s serious about a permanent ceasefire to go to the Israeli government, disarm, and declare to Israel that their people are in dire need of help and need a viable long-term solution. They need to create distance between the Palestinian people at-large and groups like Hezbollah and Hamas and those groups need to be isolated.Finally you and GromsDad agree on something.
It’s going to require Palestinians to disarm no matter what, it’s going to require Israel to enfranchise and empower the Palestinians, and it’s going to require some measure of offering Palestinians a homeland, however small it may end up being.
