Happiness is children.

Without having children of your own your life is empty. No meaning.
Wait.. you have kids? I must have missed that. How many?

They are little bundles of joy aren't they?

I would have had kids but I never found a women I would be willing to be yoked to so missed that boat.

However, I don't feel meaningless and empty.

Back to the OP. If I had those same prereq's. Or just being single.

In today's global economy with internets, I would probably be living in Sumatra. So many more choices these days. So many more options.

Just look at Truth..... He's got his kids surfing with him now.....If he could get his Old Lady to buy in he would be Huge......

The thing about third world countries is medical care and security- Both are usually pretty lacking.

Another issue is their ability to respond to natural disasters and the governments ability to govern a civil society.

Indonesia ranks extremely low on all of those.

sure the waves are good. But you also have a chance of getting slammed by a typhoon or hit with a tsunami wave and the ability for the govt to respond to it is lacking immensely.

Then you have the off chance of civil wars, terrorism, etc.

It’s a major risk.

Just read a book about the Aussie Diggers who lived in Papua/New Guinea. WWII. It's never easy. The Japs threw them out and they still came back. Be that guy.... Once in a lifetime. Once forever.

Acute and emergency medical care, definitely. Which is when you need it the most, by definition. In terms of specialists and surgeons for non-emergency care, it can be just as good or at the very least much more economical.

Can’t recall the name, but the movie with Heath Ledger that depicted the 05 tsunami is on Netflix. Cant imagine needing serious medical care in a situation like that.

White people have been living in this enviroments for close to the past century. Malaria pills. first and formost. Taking immediate care of every little cut and scratch. We have Satelite Internets, Helicoptors.... The real pioneers up into this country back in the day from OZ. Copra.... they make glycerine for high explosives out of it. Gold...

We have so many more avenues today. Radio, Sattelite, hospitals, helicoptors..... You could find that point break. You could be Huge.

Remember the Mentaiwaiis back in the late 80's early 90's. "Never get out of the boat".......
