The thing about third world countries is medical care and security- Both are usually pretty lacking.
Another issue is their ability to respond to natural disasters and the governments ability to govern a civil society.
Indonesia ranks extremely low on all of those.
sure the waves are good. But you also have a chance of getting slammed by a typhoon or hit with a tsunami wave and the ability for the govt to respond to it is lacking immensely.
Then you have the off chance of civil wars, terrorism, etc.
It’s a major risk.
Just read a book about the Aussie Diggers who lived in Papua/New Guinea. WWII. It's never easy. The Japs threw them out and they still came back. Be that guy.... Once in a lifetime. Once forever.old lady went MIA years ago - bonzer5 was needed but doubt he could have even saved her

sumatra living in an outpost like Nias isnt easy and no medical care if the sh!t hit the fan and living accommodations - food - aren't the best - thats a place that ages you but ......
Acute and emergency medical care, definitely. Which is when you need it the most, by definition. In terms of specialists and surgeons for non-emergency care, it can be just as good or at the very least much more economical. The thing about third world countries is medical care and security- Both are usually pretty lacking.

Can’t recall the name, but the movie with Heath Ledger that depicted the 05 tsunami is on Netflix. Cant imagine needing serious medical care in a situation like that.
