The Highland Park 16 Wings of the eagle is nice. Not too far behind the 18 (the 46% travel edition version), a nice, heavily sherried, lightly peated whisky. I think the mere 44.5% hurts the mouthfeel but it's still extremely good. Weirdly enough I think it gets better with a few drops of water... it's almost like it morphs some of the spiciness into honeyed heather, it's nice.

Than we raise the bar again. Highland Park 25y. Very good. It's clearly a highland park but with the added subtlety and nuttiness that the age brings. The alcohol is barely noticeable. More chocolate too. The peat's still there on the after taste, it's not all gone.

I'm happy to have tried this at a decent price but I would never pay what this bottle is worth. That 21y Highland Park in PX from an IB on the other hand is something that, if I came across, I might be crazy enough to pay a premium because it's truly mind blowing whisky.

Something amazing should arrive in the next couple weeks. Most expensive whisky in my shelf too.

I finally won this whisky raffle I was starting to think was a scam! This beauty is coming home!

Almost 4x smokier than my smokiest whisky at 169ppm, beautiful! (most laphroaigs and lagavulins are 40 or 50ppm).
