I hope Trump surprises me but I have a gut feeling that he will pick someone that disappoints conservatives biggly. I hope he proves me wrong.

I just looked over the big democrat protest. Very underwhelming. I think there's more Hare Krishna's on the mall. Lots of sullen faces though, but I think they've been this way for a year or so. DC is like Hollywood for ugly people. I love it.

Kavanaugh is a somewhat safer pick, in terms of getting confirmed. There will no doubt be serious opposition, but ultimately Kavanaugh disarms the concerns over Roe and since Kavanaugh is a so-called "Washington insider" he'll be familiar to the power brokers in both parties, easing their minds.
