Nice! I got a few dink snapper blues like a week ago, and had one jack about 8-10# on pretty light gear (2500 SS VI/10# line) the other night.

Everyone says the whiting and pompano are cruising through but I haven't mustered the patience to do the pyramid sinker bait and wait.

No time to fish yet this spring between the new job and finishing up the boat. Got the throttle and shift cables done, need to set up the hydraulic steering. Then just the last of the wiring and should be good to go. 1.5 years later, can't wait to get my first striper on this boat.

I bought a new (used) boat in late February and have spent the last 6 weeks dialing it in for the season. I full expect fishing to suck this year now that I’ve invested heavily.

Seriously though I am geeked for this summer. Blue fin are already being caught inside of 80 miles from Pt Loma. Let's fucking go!!

Grady White Marlin. 30' with tuna tower and upper controls. Twin 350s. She's rad. I've had boats forever but definitely stepped up a level with this one. Gas consumption is no joke but I knew that going in. Nice to be comfortable and have some serious range. 300 gallon capacity.

Ho Brah! That is the real deal right there with some serious power. I was going to say Grady because that is what it looks like. What a beast! More pics if you got'em?

Congrats to you rad boat owner! :jamon:

The BFT are there for the taking if you have the boat to get it done. And the skill and equipment which clearly you do. Catch'em up! :shaka:

Here's a little video I put together of myself and a couple friends catching small speckled trout and a few nice puppy drum (aka red drum) in our little plastic boats.

Do not recognize the smaller fish, you in the Carolinas?
Yeah I live in Kill Devil Hills right now. That’s a white perch. The sounds can be super fresh depending on where you fish. The other day I caught a red drum and large mouth bass at the same spot.

Thats what I thought, sounds like a cool fishery. Any tarpon make it up there?
