This is what the trials measured - reduction in disease. They were never tested for reduction in transmission. Walensky lied about that. It turns out that they DO reduce transmission because you get over the disease more quickly, but this effect is much harder to quantify using lower-quality studies after the trials.

That's not what Walensky was saying at first. She was treating it as a sterilizing vaccine like your childhood shots. Later she either realized or admitted this wasn't the case. THink about that - the CDC director has no idea what she's giving the public or was lying about it.
There's a lie built right into her statement. An honest statement would've been, "The vaccines reduce transmission and infection but do not prevent it and we're not sure how much." The truth is that the vaccines could NEVER eliminate infection and transmission. The original trials I've posted a million times never measured infection and transmission. Here's how the CDC has see-sawed on this over the past 9 months:
