Golfers tend to be richer in general. People who hang out with the rich are usually richer. Are you saying there's some difference in that fancy book learning between a golf pro and one of the Fletcher brothers?
Was that Healey he burned ?Wave of the winter?
LOL
How delusional is he?
So this Makua duuu seems like a punk who cries to daddy for protection when he does something worth a beatdown (?)Was that Healey he burned ?
The guy who got dropped in on had a shot at a special ride.not healey and not makua but yea WOW shoudlnt be the result of a burn and while the wave was girth-y, he wasnt that deep and Ive already seen way better contenders.
No. Not “probably”.The guy he burned maybe would've had the wave of the winter if he hadn't been forced to straighten out.
Probably.
This is a huge racket in CA. Housing is one of the biggest ones. Big corporations will even donate money to these and have no idea how it's spent. It's a friend of a friend thing.
At beach breaks the best guys tend to get a lot more waves than the average surfers. They position better, have better paddle power, and sit deeper on peak. I remember surfing Northside HB pier next to Timmy Reyes back when he was still on tour. He told a friend he'd already gotten 24 waves when he paddled out later than me and I only had half a dozen.
This is the hard cold reality. If you think you are going to hop off a plane and get a wave like that at Pipe you are delusional. Sooooo many people would have burned that guy. Derek Ho would have burned that guy. Eli Olson. Hell, I can think of a lifeguard or two who might have done it. Maybe you could have better luck at Rockies. Maybe.
How competitive are the B and C grade spots? I haven't really surfed at all on Oahu (mainly stick to Kauai and Big Island)If you think you are going to hop off a plane and get a wave like that at Pipe you are delusional. Thats exactly what he did in 2011 with TJ Barron. They exchanged words at Pipe and TJ got the better of Makua in a Scrap. So this Makua duuu seems like a punk who cries to daddy for protection when he does something worth a beatdown (?)
Sustainable coastlines is exactly that.No. Not “probably”.
He talked about paddling when he had his very strange father come along for surfing. Sounded like he had been to some sort of course or lesson on paddling/muscles/joints.I like Nathan Florence's seems like a humble nice guy and gives some tips for the rest of us non pros, had a great episode on big wave duckdiving.
That isn’t what I was referring toSustainable coastlines is exactly that.
It was tax donation haven for rich families.
The owner was taking like 125k a year to clean up beaches.
I see. My point still stands. That isn’t what I was referring to
It's crowded and everybody surfs pretty good - like they can all position well, take late drops, get barreled, do turns. So, yeah, it's competitive. And with the whole world rotating through during the season at some point you just have to say "sorry I don't know you" and go.How competitive are the B and C grade spots? I haven't really surfed at all on Oahu (mainly stick to Kauai and Big Island)
