They've become common and work so efficiently in many of the waves around here that you need one just to compete. The proficient surfers that are riding them are getting a ton of waves. Many of the local shapers have been pumping them out for years now, but they are currently flying out the local shaping bays.

btw u dont need 2+1 on a mid. my stubb vectors r thrusters n fly regardless of where ur standing.

also if u run into packs of these wfh wavestormer tech kooks, burn them on every chance u get. i got fed up recently and started doing that and have had much more enjoyable sessions. glad i messed up their look at me im sarfing instagram post

Probably going to be a lot of mids on CL for cheap in a year or so when the nouveau-WFH crews are all vaccinated and have to go back to work

Would really like to try a Vaquero (or a Serena). Marc is a real gentleman.

Have a 7' Vaquero and 7'10 Pocket Rocket Serena. Both are great baords.

Someone say midkengths?!?! Ok...here’s my quiver from FCD(9ft-6ft). The Huevo is the best midlength I’ve ever ridden. Of all the boards I’ve had, my 6’4 or 6’8 Huevo would be my pick if I had to ride one board in all conditions for the rest of my life. And FCD’s construction will last a loooong time.
Also, the F-Rocket is GREAT step up egg.

I don't have a problem jumping back on a shortboard from a mid length. I've split sessions with my mid and then my Ghost (when I realized how good it was) and have gotten lots of waves on both. Have also grabbed my Hypto after a mid session and had no problem jumping from a 7'0 to a 5'6.

I actually think it's easier to go from a mid to a HPSB than from a fishy board to an HPSB. The way you use your weight is more similar for me at least.
