I’ve got a 7’0” tree hugger, does fine in EC BB. I’m bigger than you (and probably older) and i like it as a quad egg . Vernor epoxy builds feel good and are tough as nails , which is a bonus. Go for it if it is a good price

Anyone riding a tree hugger in beach breaks? One just came up on cl - 7'0, I'm 5'7 165. For the price I may give it a go but I'm wondering how these work in potentially crappy wind swell (hard north east wind/ east coast)
depends on the type of crap.

short period disorganized waves my 7' Vaquero is worthless. if there is some organization and some face to fit the board weak waves can be ok.

If you have to grab the rail to cutback your - the- design is not its best yet .
that's a bullshit generalization.
the notion one board design is best.

he seems happy! why are you not?

In 2021 grab rail cutbacks are primarily a stylistic choice that has little to do with function. With the possible exception of “mini Sims”. IMHO.
