860.00 Twin Fin just posted with sand thrus to the foam on boths sides
You're referring to the sand thrus on the rails - they were not through to the foam.
Hit the weave a bit, yes. Pretty much as bad.
Would I ever order another board from them? No.
Did I know what I was getting into? Yes.
Was it my money? No.
It's a novelty I'll maybe ride a few times and sell.
Am I pissed? No. Amused is more like it. It made me chuckle. I was not surprised. A perfect example of why there's a right way and a wrong way to do things.
purchased in the Showroom
I picked the board up there in custom dims, yes.
No threads about that ;-)
The board was shared on the COVID 19 thread.
The Album logo was obscured because things hadn't been resolved.
They're now resolved.
Your being selective in your shaming
Shaming who?
I'm simply saying people are often quick to point fingers at the surfboard industry as if it's some sort of special rip-off mill when really it's no different than many of the other trades out there.
When the person doing work doesn't do their job, or doesn't do it properly, it's the customer's job to pursue it. And as often happens, if the customer created a situation where they can't pursue it (never got an order slip or lost it, paid cash up front to someone they didn't know, etc) or isn't willing to speak up or even worse keeps going back...they should expect such problems to continue not only with surfboards and trade work but in other aspects of life.
