No threads about that ;-)

Your being selective in your shaming -

Please continue
Maybe he will post a bad mouth Album Surfboards thread after he gets his board squared away. In the meantime, he can take it out on Lost Surfboards.:bricks:

You're referring to the sand thrus on the rails - they were not through to the foam.

Hit the weave a bit, yes. Pretty much as bad.

Would I ever order another board from them? No.

Did I know what I was getting into? Yes.

Was it my money? No.

It's a novelty I'll maybe ride a few times and sell.

Am I pissed? No. Amused is more like it. It made me chuckle. I was not surprised. A perfect example of why there's a right way and a wrong way to do things.

purchased in the Showroom
I picked the board up there in custom dims, yes.

No threads about that ;-)
The board was shared on the COVID 19 thread.

The Album logo was obscured because things hadn't been resolved.

They're now resolved.

Shaming who?

I'm simply saying people are often quick to point fingers at the surfboard industry as if it's some sort of special rip-off mill when really it's no different than many of the other trades out there.

When the person doing work doesn't do their job, or doesn't do it properly, it's the customer's job to pursue it. And as often happens, if the customer created a situation where they can't pursue it (never got an order slip or lost it, paid cash up front to someone they didn't know, etc) or isn't willing to speak up or even worse keeps going back...they should expect such problems to continue not only with surfboards and trade work but in other aspects of life.

Those sand thrus look to the foam .

1,000's of team supported "units" have been made really poorly in Hawaii over many years at certain glass shops . Things are way better now .
Internet did not exist then ;-)

Just saw a debate on Boardporn about machine shapes vs handshapes

Ron supports those evil Tomo Firewire's , machine shaped in evil asia made by non surfing women - why do all those shapers support his insta ? This all so fun :) Lots of flip flopping like in many other things .

Everyone's a hypocrite!! Let's call everyone out!!

I think what's evident from this thread is that some people will put up with a certain amount of sh!tty customer service if they end up with a board they really like. Lost makes some great boards. That's why people keep going back despite getting burned.

I've done it and am willing to put up with it to certain point.

Some people have a low tolerance for this kind of thing.

Both ends of the spectrum will continue to exist as long as surfing and surfboards exist.

You guys are starting to sound like the outrage mob. Wouldn’t be surprised you guys flood his comments section on his insta posts. I‘ve sent him PM’s and he gets back to me same day. If you guys got bad experiences like this I just put a comment on his post and pretty sure he’ll get back to you to make it right. If I got bad customs like that I’d just take it right to that factory and have him make it right. A six pack to the glasser works wonders too.
