Crabby style, passable but bog standard air game and grade school completely non-threatening art is a cringey career path for anyone with self respect.

Dont be mad because he has figured out a way to get paid to surf.
He's a fun, freewheeling, creative surfer. I have more respect for someone like Ozzy -- who gets to ride what he wants, surf how he wants, and make art -- than your standard jock competitive surfer. You may not like his style or ability, but I don't see what's performative or contrived.
