What board would you ride in these waves?

my 6'6 roundtail as a quad. just a tiny bit bigger and I'm annoying everyone with an 8' gun, but that looks great for any shortboardish thing with a longer rail line that you can still bury into a bottom turn. that looks so fun.

Judging by the percentage of guys bailing their boards when they got caught inside, that is a lot heavier than it looks from the safety of your computer.

This is very true. I was checking this spot on a very similar sized swell to the wave at 1:28.

2 guys out getting flogged.

I opted to paddle out a little further south.

If I am limited to my quiver, I guess I would be grabbing my Rusty Barking Spider 6'4" (36.2L) and going with Large AM2 Quad set up, plus thickest leash I have.

That Deadman's footage is gnarly as fook, making my palms sweat.
