Yeah.
Odorless mineral spirits is exactly what all these surf brand wax removers are anyway.
The difference is a can of odorless mineral spirits from Home Depot will last you until you quit surfing and is 20x cheaper.
the rest can be removed with a clean rag.
maybe the uv down here is stronger?

Based on your screen name I'm assuming you use it to clear air filters too.
A sharp wax comb / blade, and finish with Goo Gone does the trick. But I have mineral spirits in a bucket to soak air filters in to remove all the oil + dirt, so could easily soak a rag in that and use it to remove all residue from a surfboard after scraping.
