Just a guess, Is the second one mavs? I didnt think people could get that angle, but I dont know. Looks like it with the buoy.
no, matt, the second one is just big middle peak. you can see the monterey peninsula in the background. good eyes on the buoy-like thing, but its probably a boat of some sort.<P>you can also tell its middle peak by the suuuuper mushy takeoff. see how the lip is throwing out and only hitting about 1/4 down the wave face? middle peak+high tide = super mushy, but fun on the reform. mavericks is never THAT mushy, even when it's only "capping". <P>beautiful photos.
