<strong>not like any of you care, but i was watching something on the history channel about a month ago. the B-52 is an amazing piece of military machinery. official sources say this plane will continue to be a vital part of the air force until something like 2050. that's about a hundred year lifespan. pretty impressive.

My best freinds father wasa b-52 pilot and Igotto go in one when they were at a PR navy base. That was in the mid eighties and they were old then. It is truly amazing they just put new engines on new avianoics and they give the plane a new lease on life. The designers really didn't plan on the plane being upgradeable to the degree it has been but they planned it from get go to be a survivor. They have become sybolic for longevity and durability and they are still as intimidating as ever.
