Please Autoprax, bestow upon me that knowledge and perspective you were attempting to relay to my edible root tuber brain, such that I may, at least as pertains one thread of one issue, ascend to your all-knowing level, oh cum-spraying one.
They get attacked in what they see as unfairly by the left wing twitter mob.

Then it's on.

Rogan is still crying that he said people should take horse paste.

"It's an anti parasitic!" :cursing:

That really sent him over the edge.

The audience capture was complete.

By who exactly? I don't see him playing to right wing interests. Except for calling out government involvement in controlling Covid narratives, which has been labeled "right wing"
People who want civil liberties are "RIGHT WING."

MT blew it when he dropped a wildly lopsided analysis

he comes across as having a bone to pick regardless of what the actual facts are

I loved his work for Rolling Stone and used to parse his substack pretty regularly

we need to figure out a way to take the profit motive out of journalism or we are doomed

the Fairness Doctrine should be re-introduced

Did any of the Twitter Files sh!t he was reporting on touch on any of the examples we have of the Right trying to get content they didn't like moderated, or did he have to get his faced rub in the sh!t he left on the floor before he showed some bad dog shame?
No. It just shows what some of us have always known- that the government has their finger on the scale and gets Twitter to push their preferred narrative. Next

And it only matters in the instances the (D) do it. Not worth mentioning when the (R) do it.

Kind of like the (R) President paying Stormi is a witch hunt, but the (D) Vice President/President's kid paying @weedslut420 is the end of the world.

except, of course, the facts indicate that no one has the thumb on the scale and that "your team" was guilty of it while the opposing one was not

Not sure what "team" you are speaking of
Twitter basically gave the gubmint a seat at the table. Alex Berenson was a perfect example of this.

they gave public health officials a seat at the table

do you get this upset when your mobile phone carrier disseminates an amber alert or a flood warning?

The Berenson request came directly from the white house. Public health officials lolololol

No, because those messages are truthful and don't have an agenda behind them :poke:

So much this.

We took profit motive out of other things that are essential for a healthy democracy but doing it with journalism would send libertarian types into a tailspin.

They've been freaking out about the NPR, imagine if there was a US version of the BBC. :roflmao:

who else has a vested interest in getting that whinger to stfu?
Big pharma and the government. Government has been in the business of crushing domestic dissent for decades if not over century. Now they can use big tech and media as a proxy to do their dirty work, because for them to do so would be unconstitutional.

Murka fug yeah!

you don't need government subsidies if you force networks to practice the fairness doctrine and enforce it with teeth.

Fox rose from the grave of the Fairness Doctrine

it would not exist in its current, stupefying form if it were required to give equal treatment to both sides of the argument

as the discovery that has been released from the Dominion lawsuit shows us, what the talking heads and the executives personally believe is a far cry from what they vomit up for the cameras...and they knowingly and willingly play their cancerous game all in the name of preserving their audience viewership

it's fkn gross

100% agree.
I used BBC as an example because a lot of people in Americas think it's a commie news source and that it's "government run". lolo

As this thread clearly shows, trying to enforce any kind of journalistic ethic would be viewed as an attack on 1A.

There are just way too many people who benefit from spreading misinformation, from corporations to GromsDads who must have their bias confirmation fix daily.

Thankfully we have Taibbi (lefty) and former Sandinista volunteer Shellenberger.

Twitter could easily have told the government to fuck off. It's not like they operate under an FCC license or anything like that.
