During school, when ever I dont have the money, I go through two hours of intense weight training, school, then 4 hours of water polo, without eating. Its not that I cant do it, but when you feed your body appropriately it makes it alot easier for you to reach goals and recover from hard workouts.

I have no intention at all of joining the military, much less become an elite soldier like SEALs or rangers so Im cool with eating every 2 hours for now.

Lee...I'll be 47 in November. Things change as we age...and we are all very different.

However, when I was teens and twentys I could've done the sh*t staning on my head on a full or an empty stomach

And it's "hypoglycemic"...and your partially right in that it IS a blood sugar thing.

BTW: Hypoglycemic is the opposite of diabetic. To low on the glycemis index (e.g. insulin) as opposed to too much...and no I am niether. But thanks for your concern <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Thanks for the good answers, guys!
Sincerely.
I never seem to really need my full physical prowess to surf a session, unless it's really big, hairy, or a new spot with lots of really good wave hogs in the water.
So, I tend to take it less than seriously, being somewhat relaxed about the whole thing.
Maybe that's why I never got really good at surfing! Or more realistcally, my mental approach has never been sound and serious enough.
Oh well, I'm too old to get good at surfing anyways, so I'll just be doomed to enjoy it instead.

Well I will certainly agree with you there, Lee.

It doesn't take near as much to surf my local spots...got'em dialed in after all these years.
