Just bought another Wayne Deane but it’s at my bro’s place on the Gold Coast so I haven’t seen it in person yet. 6’5 2+1 but the guy was running it as a straight single. It’s a bit rough but should clean up ok.

Maurice Cole reverse vee shorty. Always wanted one. Its virtually dead now after two creases but it was great for a coupla turns and the hollower ones

Nope, I had a coupe solid OH waves one session (which it exceled in) but mostly small surf so far (W-SH) that I could've ridden my other favorite board (5'7" Album Lightbender fish) in and it was still super fun. Seems to have a wide range...

Nov/Dec update: Baby Buggy has (re)joined the chat.

Inside sandbars improved after the hurricanes which dramatically increased steep sections on offer, as did Nov/Dec swell improvements.

stamps wtfo with glass on keels. can't get off the thing. want a shorter one now. works in knee to hh waves. pretty unreal in speed and drive. works equally well fs and bs despite being twin keel.

ya, u have it. it's also my favorite lolz. i think my surfing level has degraded so much that all i can ride now are mini simmons.

There's a lot to be said for a board that paddles great, early wave entry, flies along a fast wave and planes like a dongboard across flat sections without being a dongboard. Turning is over-rated. Or under-scored...or something like that.
