Sophisticated attack.

First they hacked into FireEye, a company in Texas who builds software for identifying security vulnerabilities in network systems with clients that include the US gov.

Then they used that software to help infiltrate SolarWinds, a network company with 300,000+ clients including most Fortune 500 companies and organizations, and fed gov entities as well.

They broke into a range of key government networks, including in the Treasury and Commerce Departments, and had free access to their email systems, for months. FireEye’s clients, including the Department of Homeland Security and intelligence agencies.

Way to go Team America.

The fact that Russia is bad does not make China good. Anyone with half a brain should realize by now that both governments are a real problem and cannot be trusted.
Agreed!

Why has the right spent the better part of the last 4yrs telling us how Putin isn't bad and he's our friend and he just wants what's best for us?

Is this where we start looking to fringe news outlets and filing lawsuits in droves to prove something that doesn't exist?
Don’t worry

we have the most secure sh!t in the galaxy

even super advanced aliens (who by the way don’t exist either) can’t do anything to our things with a thumb drive, which isn’t even really a thumb

I like how strongly Trump has come out against Russia on this. He’s really hitting them hard! Oh, wait, he hasn’t said anything? Nothing at all? Weird.

.
The systems which were hacked came from FireEye, the same company which provides security systems for Dominion.
