Global policy that reduces the United States to a consumer rather than a producer is more disastrous to us in the long run than the perceived harm of any tariffs. Part of the reason for this consertation is because the WTO (which shouldn't even exist) has declared tariffs illegal. Nevermind something like the WTO has zero authority over any of us
