I'll let you know this Summer. Both will be in heavy rotation.

I got the Bean Bag used. It is custom with heavy heavy glass job. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of wave it will do well in.
Love my epoxy mini simmons...Thing flies when most wouldn't even paddle out, super fun in knee-chest off the jetty. Get one!

How was the rocker on your old Hess? I got a 5'8" from Danny a few years back, and the rocker is pretty flat. Tried surfing this thing on and off for years now and have never got the right feel for it. Turns always felt stiff and sluggish, and I'd bog the rail/sink the nose. Rode it as a quad for the longest time, and switched to a twin + trailer and it finally loosened up a bit, but wondering if I got a one off or if I'm just surfing it wrong.

Incredible quiver my bru.
I just cannot use FCs traction pads on boards with futures boxes. My mind plays those tricks on me.

That thing does look pretty flat. My old 6'0 was a little flatter and wider than this new one. Both boards like some juice. In small or soft surf (basically any wave that requires me to pump a lot to generate speed) , it feels sluggish, though not stiff. Once it gets a proper wall, it's fast, super drivey, and turns like a go-kart. I like mine in shoulder-high to overhead OBSF. Also had some good sessions on a long-period S swell at Pleasure Point. Mostly run it as a quad, though I like the twin + trailer in waves with a tight pocket.

This is a design I clicked with instantly. Here's an example of how it turns on a good wave: http://instagr.am/p/CcGg4HMA7-a/

Buckets! I do feel the board is sluggish when riding it in weak surf, and kinda sucks at generating its own speed. As a quad fish, I honestly expected it to go better in the weak stuff, especially since Danny said he rides this shape in waist high. I gotta give it another shot in bigger surf. I've had some decent luck with it at Scott's, but that take off can get pretty heavy, and end up grabbing a step up. Moved to SoCal though, and rarely get a chance to surf anything sizeable.

Lots of turnover this past year as I’ve finally gotten rid of baors I didn’t ride much or were too short for me to paddle around anymore. Here’s the latest additions from 22-23. Stocked.
5’8 Mandala Superchunk twin (“Delta-V” slot channel) in DA
5’11 Pyzalien2 XL Oeste dims
6’0 Insanity (first Varial carbon)
