Shark week had an hour long episode on these Southern Ocean ab fisherman a few years ago. It was really interesting. Some of those guys don't use a cage at all :oops:
If it’s the one I saw, one of the dudes gets eaten over the course of filming.

So years ago I was snorkeling with a friend off the coast at a certain reef and a Leopard shark cruises by and I swam down and reached out and touched his tail. He swam off. My buddy tells me later that he knew a guy who grabbed a Leopard shark's tail like that and the shark turned around and bit him in the hand, shredded a finger which is now a stump.

I see them almost every time I do shore dives and have done the same but generally leave them alone. Looks like any of these ones that can be found nearshore could easily take off a few digits. I've heard some horror stories from people who purposely or accidentally shot an angel shark.
